Artist reflect: Reflecting back on your final piece and all the steps you went through to get there are very important. On my carved tile piece I could of definitely added more detail and emphasis to convey one direct message. I still believe that my piece was very reflective, showing an all around nature theme and idea. The final glazes (underglaze) were a very good idea considered by Mrs A. Once applied and wiped back some with a wet sponge, it really brought the whole piece together.
Artist give back to their community: I really enjoyed working the tiny house project. Most of all, giving back to your community is very important. While glazing tiny houses, I had elaborate conversations with my peers and asked different questions on what would look good. I also tried mixing different glazes which came out very well. The colors that I made came out very unique and “strange”. When you work in small groups it gets thoughts from different individuals together for a common outcome. Taking in thoughts and lessons from class mates can be very helpful to someone who is trying to create a piece with a lot of attention.
